August Update
John set up a google group called wikimapping-world. It’s an open group where you can ask questions, make feature requests, look for answers, or just see what other WikiMapping project administrators are interested in. As we are getting more people managing projects, I think this will be helpful.
I’ve updated the home page to present a list of some of WikiMapping’s features. I’ve also recently started a personal wikimap called Explore, in which I photograph places I’m bicycling or walking. Now that we have a bulk photo uploader, it takes me just a few minutes to upload photos to the map. I’m enjoying this feature even though it has little to do with other peoples’ input on a map.
Our iOS app for a client is progressing. I’m focused on users’ needs, and John’s coding. Meanwhile, we are developing a new presentation tool and making improvements to help users and project administrators better review comments that have been placed on the map.
