A thought from the conference

Bicycle and pedestrian planning is not just for upper-middle class people.  People everywhere are living their lives within the environments that they know.  What’s this mean for WikiMapping?

It means that we need to focus, not just on the technology, but on the analog user experience.  Some people are not going to use computers.  And sometimes it’s just going to be easier to give a group a map printout.  An example of this is a classroom full of kids.

I need to be talking with people in communities with high unemployment.
